NCR stands for “No Carbon Required”. NCR forms, also known as “Carbonless Forms”, have a special paper that does not have carbon inside to transfer ink/information to a paper below. The way that special paper works is that it has a special coating that is activated only under pressure and only reacts on the sheet below as long as sheets are in the correct sequence. So when you are writing with the pen on the top white sheet of the form the information is duplicated to a bottom canary/yellow sheet and as well as to a pink sheet if you have a three-part form. This is the easiest way to have multiple copies of your form with the signatures or writing on them that streamline your internal business processes.
What do loose sets of NCR form mean? It means that all parts for your form, two-part (white/canary) or three-part (white/canary/pink) are glued together but you can use that form as stand-alone and it is not bonded in any way. Once you or your customer filled out the form, you can easily separate each part which will have a copy of the information, and file it as per your business process. Loose set NCR forms are the most cost-effective way to be printed and you can easily store them in the office or a binder.
Where can I use NCR forms? You may ask. That is a great question. The answer is pretty much anywhere you need to have copies of information filled out by an employee or a customer. Whether you are a large manufacturer or a smaller business such as a 3D design artist, catering business, plumbing or roofing company or a hair styling specialist – those forms are great to use.
NCR forms are particularly used to create:
Choose between two sizes for carbonless forms: 5.5" x 8.5" or 8.5" x 11.0". They can be either a two-part form – the first page is white and canary (yellow) is the second page or three-part forms which have white, canary, and pink sheets. Carbonless form sets are glued at the top – just peel it off to remove the first page from the set and give it to your customer and other parts of the form you can file away. You can also order your NCR forms numbered in a sequence for invoicing, billing or ordering purposes – so no need to write a number of each invoice or bill yourself. You can as well choose between red and black ink colours for the numbering. Please note that red ink numbering is only available for a “Full colour” printing option only.
